Integrating a yoga practice to your routine will amplify your current athletic abilities and will ensure your body thrives well after your career concludes.
WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is a moving meditation that connects the mind and body through postures and breath. With a fresh approach, this ancient practice can be utilized by athletes to keep their edge and enhance their skills. Studies have shown that yoga improves flexibility, balance, agility, endurance, and core strength; all crucial tools for an athlete’s body. Yoga also provides psychological and cognitive benefits that translate to a clearer mind and focus on and off the field.
I design my sessions around the sport and position of each client. I research the movements needed for their position, common injuries of that position, and past or chronic injuries of the individual.
We work to push past our mental limits as we move through challenging yoga positions.
